Oren Levy, PhD
Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder
Dr. Oren Levy is an experienced medical device leader and entrepreneur. Oren co-founded SonoMotion in 2014 and has overall responsibility for the company’s management, strategic direction, clinical trials, hiring, and fundraising activities. At SonoMotion, Oren raised over $38 million in funding, including equity investment from institutional, strategic, and physician investors as well as $8 million in non-dilutive NIH and NASA grants. Prior to SonoMotion, Oren played a key role in the management and acquisition of Fluid Medical, an ultrasound-based medical device startup, by Volcano Corporation (acquired by Philips). Oren received a double BA degree in Physics and Astrophysics and a PhD in Biophysics from the University of California, Berkeley.
Doug Corl, PhD
Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Doug Corl is a proven and recognized ultrasound expert with over 35 years of experience in developing and delivering commercial ultrasound-based medical devices. Doug has 62 issued patents and was either the CTO or Chief Scientist/Engineer for 29 years at early-stage startups and a large multinational company, including Philips, Volcano, Keimar, PharmaSonics, and Cardiometrics. Doug received a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
Emily Hergenreter
VP of Clinical Affairs
Emily Hergenreter is a clinical research leader, bringing over 20 years of expertise in Class II and III devices, while working for startups and Fortune 500 companies (J&J, Abbott). Emily gravitates toward technologies that prioritize quality of life with the least invasive approach. Recently, her leadership and drive to generate high-quality evidence, resulted in numerous regulatory approvals, publications, and favorable payer policies while at NeoTract (acquired by Teleflex). Emily received a BS in Chemistry and Biology from Fort Lewis College and was a Bioinorganic Chemistry PhD candidate at the University of California, Santa Barbara, until initiating her career path in human research.
